A fine course. The bonus of Banstead is that is lays on chalk so its never really wet. I have never played it when it has had temporary greens because its doesn't need them - a great winter course.

This is a genuine Surrey woodland course with
the added bonus of being within easy reach of London.
A really lovely course with plenty of trees to lose your balls in and a
mixture of some really good par fives, and some equally good par threes,
and a couple of great short par fours.
Not a hard course to walk round but be very carefull crossing the very busy
Brighton road which you will have to cross twice.
The clubhouse has a nice friendly atmosphere and good food. I spent some
time sitting in the spike bar waiting for my partners before the round and
found the collected members very friendly and happy to enter into conversation.
Altogether a very pleasant experience.
