I played a 3-ball on a very hot sticky day in
June. It was the club championship on the same day so the course was in
great condition. The greens are lightening quick, and so its imperative
that you get to grips with them quickly otherwise your can find yourself
3 putting frequently. The first three holes break you in gently with two
short par 4s and a slightly trickier par 3. If your playing straight
then you can get round the course without too much difficulty but if your
having a bad day you can really be punished.
The course has a good mixture of par 3,4 and 5s. The main problem
I found was the positioning of the bunkers. The bunkers are all placed in
difficult positions thus making your shot into the green really important.
Altogether, the club as a whole is well kept offering a really challenging
days golf. I give it 8/10 |
